Construction Progress

Did you know that Tower Two is approximately 15 weeks behind Tower One?  For all of our Tower Two residents this is a good way to gauge the progress of Tower Two!

You can now check in hourly on the Washington Square website to view the updates on the construction sight through our new state-of-the-art webcam.  The camera is mounted on the southwest corner of our presentation center.  We hope you enjoy the bird’s eye view of your future home as much as we do!

Time to Move

We are finally here! The first homes are completed in Tower One and residents will begin the move-in process this week. For the next few months 4-5 people will be moving in to the tower each day. We are proud to say we are going to hit our targeted completion date and we are right on track for Tower Two and the rest of the block.

Creating a mixed-use community of this size is no easy task. Years and years of hard work have been put in to this community at this point and we are not even half way there, but the arrival of our first residents this weekend is a huge milestone.

Tower Two Topping Out

The Tower Two Topping Out party was held September 6, 2007 and it was a huge success!  It is customary for a developer to celebrate with the hardworking crew when the highest structural member of a building is about to be installed.  That is exactly what Wasatch Development did.  Each crew member signed one of the last steel beams, received a gift, dug into a hearty lunch catered by Longhorn Barbeque and participated in a prize drawing. 

Troy Thompson, the President of Wasatch Development Associates, raffled off 67 prizes that were donated by our general contractor, subcontractors and vendors.  Over 650 people were in attendance!   The highlight of the event occurred when the crowd went wild as we introduced one of the grand prizes in the bucket of a front loader: a huge 52” flat screen TV!   Congratulations to all the lucky winners and thanks so much to our dedicated crew!

Tower One Topping Out

A major milestone was celebrated today at Washington Square!  The Topping Out event was held for Tower One.  A Topping Out ceremony is a tradition among the construction community which marks the moment when the highest structural point of a building has been attained.  This means that the completion of Tower One is nearing for all of its homeowners!

To celebrate this event the last steel beam was signed by hundreds of Washington Square crew members and hoisted into place.  A couple of hours were spent celebrating this landmark with good food and joviality, then it was back to work for our wonderful construction crew.

Congratulations and a big thank you to our crew for their outstanding efforts, months of hard work and their dedication to the Washington Square community!
